They also discuss some of the ups and downs of a music artist and how the music industry is no different than running a business. Then we have Mike stick around for a quick chat about podcasts and which ones he and the guys are listening to. Based out of Pennsylvania, OK Otter started as Mike Doyle’s solo recording project about ten years ago. It has recently turned into an honest to goodness band with Joe Tombasco on piano, and Rob Bonsell on drums. OK Otter’s second album, Dad Rock 2, was released in March of 2022 and dads around the world have been streaming it on repeat. They can’t get enough. The band is already working on Dad Rock 3.
OK Otter’s original music has been used by brands like Lexus and the NHL, as well as popular vloggers like professional surfer, Jamie O’Brien.
The band is currently on a mission to release a new song every month in 2023. January’s release (The Rat King) and February’s release (The Machine) are streaming now wherever you get your music. March’s release (Toad) drops March 24th!
